No footed Flip

I just talked to Tony Fontana, I wanted to get some perspective on what he has been up to and where he is going this coming year. this is what he had to say.

~ 2008 Recap: A very memorable year. For the most part, 08 kicked off slow. I was at a pretty stale point in my riding. Day to day with about as much ambition as a hacker at a frat house on Friday night. My tricks were so so, I couldn’t flip my 450, so I was a mess. Although I did have a pit bike on steroids or the Pitster Pro 150cc which I could flip nac at 50ft. I had enough of the midget bikes and grabbed some bawls and an ambition drink and took the 450 upside down to dirt I guess around May. Yeahhhh! It feels thrilling to be the last fmxer in the world to flip to dirt, but oh well I got it done. Oh wait Junes’ coming you know what that means? Time to case the ramp separating your right shoulder and breaking your left wrist. All the cheerful excitement just went straight to Iraq. It gets better, august rolls around your doing awesome again, found a nice spot to ride with good riders, but wait wait you can’t forget to back flip to flat ground on the 75ft ramp.  There goes my back strike 2. One week later lets give this another shot. Okay I’ll hit the new step down ramp ( a ramp set on a 3ft platform, higher than the landing). Along with that came a flat landing, strike 3 out. By this time my body is clapped out, I feel like one of those Cambodian kids working at the Fox factory. Its turkey time! I packed up my belongings and headed south to Durham town G.A. with Angerman, HBZ Boyz, Motopimp, and Hart. Day 1 rode ehh pretty decent for not being on the bike for little awhile, day 2 I sacked up and flipped again, but still my straight tricks needed work.
            ~2009 Now back in N.J. been doing some training at the house with Kearns. Throwing down some crazy sick ramp sessions. He is stomping super flips and heel clicker flips. I started getting a few basic flip combos, nac flips, 1 hander flips, flips whips, no footed flips. Slowly but surely I’m climbing my way up the ladder, so 09 look out Fontana is on his way to the top!

So we spent thanksgiving vacation down at Durhamtown for the second stop of the FMX EAST Challenge and if you have never been there, I think you should def look into it. the place is crazy!

Yeah we rolled in this, baller. haha big thanks to Mike Angerman and his family for hooking us up for our road trip wit this killer RV a.k.a. tour bus.

After years of filming stunters, Mark finally got out and bought a stuntbike. W will try and post some video of his progress in the future.

If any of you seen the Motopimps dvd, you know that "the Mayhem" is really harcore into doing freestyle raps. I'm not sure if being wasted helps or not, but its pretty dam cool to here him flow when he has a party going on at his house. anyhow, i uploaded one of my favorites to the website on MP3 so download that bitch and enjoy!
